Take Home Dining!!!

What a lovely surprise to see Petite Pippin mentioned in an article in The Age newspaper, I had no idea we were going to receive a small recognition until it was pointed out to me. Slightly tickled pink :-)

Lakeview High Tea re-visited

I was pleased to re-visit a familiar home for a second Petite Pippin High Tea in Your Home function.  Upon initial enquiry for the 60th  birthday High Tea, I advised the Petite Pippin team were fully committed to High Tea functions on the required date, sadly I was unable to assist until later in the month.

A few days later I received a phone call confirming a booking for one of the available dates I suggested.  My client compared Petite Pippin with similar organisations and ultimately decided to change the date of the function until we were available, words can not express how flattered I was.

Surprise Tea

The planning for a surprise 40th birthday High Tea started back in March after the Petite Pippin interview on 3AW. Organised by a husband for his wife (with help from his mother in law) the day played out well with all involved.  Decoys were set, friends and family arrived on time, decorations were strategically placed and of course the high tea was set and ready to go.

The guest of honour was none the wiser, in fact she was so unaware she sat out the front of her own house with her kids in the car waiting for her mum to arrive, not realising everyone was inside waiting to surprise her.  A number of phone calls and texts and the birthday girl was finally enticed out of the car, still unaware of the party.  As she slowly tip toed up the hallway the unusual happenings of her strange day finally fell into place. I don't think I have ever seen someone so shocked.

Baby Blue

Baby showers are always an exciting time, today's high tea was for a radiant expectant mother of a baby boy.  Tess & I had a lot of fun decorating the regal table in a blue theme, I must admit it was fun to mix it up and move away from pink momentarily.
My favourite part of the day, two puppy dogs who wanted to be a part of the high tea experience.  I was lucky enough to have the puppies keep me company in the 'Tea Room'.
On a side note, whenever I travel over the Westgate I always feel like I am venturing to a far away destination, I must admit I have never spent time in Williamstown, but this little pocket of Victoria is beautiful.

Shabby Chic High Tea

What a wonderful evening I had with Sophia from Nova Cakes sampling delicious macarons and a variety of cupcakes...High quality, freshness and full of tasty ingredients, not just pretty colours to look good.

Will definitely be adding theses wonderful treats to the new Petite Pippin Shabby Chic menu

High Tea at the Latham

Located in Bentleigh East, todays function guests all had a great sense of humour. Family and friends travelled from country Victoria and NZ to attend this birthday celebration.

Highlight of the day was meeting guests from where I was born, Tauranga NZ.  Lovely to hear the little country town where I spent my early years, Matamata, is now internationally famous thanks to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

What a great day.

The Ginger Bread Home

When I was asked if I could supply a tiered cake stand for some ginger bread treats, I thought "how cute, simple request, no problem happy to oblige" expecting to see cute little ginger breads with the occasional man missing his gumdrop button.... how wrong was I!

Each piece was finely piped with the utmost care, coloured in pink and yellow to match the High Tea theme of the day and carefully crafted into different shapes.  Today the scones had to sit in the corner with baby as this ginger bread stand was taking centre stage.

Travelling home I remembered I was kindly offered a sample, Tess and I ooohed and ahhed as we 'delicately' ate our treats, we were equally impressed with the flavour. Yum Yum Yum.

Working Women Magazine

It certainly is a Christmas in July when I receive the winter edition of Working Women Magazine, lots of great tips and general reads to inspire us all!!! I cant wait for some 'quiet time' to read this from cover to cover.

I was especially excited this month for the beginning of the Petite Pippin High Tea in Your Home advertising campaign;
